Similarities Between Polyaspartic and Epoxy

Epoxy is known for its ability to be used as a topcoat and a midcoat. Polyaspartic coatings are no different. Both can be used to prime, but typically, epoxy is more common in the industry.

Epoxy might work better for showroom floors with plenty of time to prepare, but corporate buildings and hospitals might have to work a little quicker to get everything done efficiently.
You also won’t need to worry about color fading from a polyaspartic coating. This is great for those who have color flooring and who maybe want to protect a logo in the floor.

Polyaspartic coating can be applied in low temperatures, making it ideal for freezers or other cold areas that would otherwise need to be completely shut down to install epoxy coating.

Benefits of Epoxy Floor Coatings

If you’re looking for more affordability, epoxy allows for materials to be mixed into the coating in order to make it cost less. Epoxy is also usually much thicker than polyaspartic coating, which inevitably presents more durability and longevity.
