Asbestos Encapsulation

Dragon Scale Flooring can perform professional asbestos tile encapsulation with an asbestos-binding epoxy compound. If the cost of asbestos abatement is too high, encapsulation can be a safe and less expensive alternative in many cases. Our flooring professionals can help you assess your situation and advise on whether encapsulation with epoxy is the right choice. We are based in Maryland, but we also perform asbestos encapsulation in the neighboring Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC, and can travel to other parts of the East Cost.

Should I Abate or Encapsulate?

Asbestos abatement can be rather costly, especially if you have a significant square footage of your home or commercial facility covered with asbestos tile. However, sometimes it’s the only option you have. If a large portion of your tiles are cracked, friable or otherwise damaged, they may need to be removed because the asbestos has already been disturbed and is in the air. Encapsulation is recommended for tiles that are in good condition and mostly intact.
